I was searching online for budget gaming rig for 2013 spec and comparing it with my own 2013 spec when I found a website showing a budget gaming rig spec for 2013 and it looks pretty decent. So I thought of sharing it with you guys:

I think this spec is even better than mine (better in terms of price) and you are going to benefit from it. If you guys are too lazy to click the link, here’s the spec:

AMD OEM Phenom II x4 965 3.4 GHz

If you want to reduce the price even lower, try dropping the optical drive. For me, I don’t need it, not most of the time because nowadays I only buy game digitally. So I don’t need an optical drive.

I might go for i5 2500K with Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 motherboard tho. But, looking at the price and the slight increase in performance in BF3, it’s better if you stick with the AMD Phenom II x4. It’s more cost efficient and you can run the latest games with this spec. It will last you a little bit longer.

So, there you go. The budget gaming spec for 2013.
